Letter re: Opposition to ML Ready Mix application to the Committee of Adjustment

March 26th 2015

To: Annalisa Morra, Application Technician: amorra@toronto.ca

Subject: Opposition to an application to the Committee of Adjustment, file Number B11/15EYK.

Remicorp Industries Inc. /M L Ready Mix Concrete
29 Judson Street, Mimico.

The Mimico Residents Association (MRA) is opposed to Remicorp Industries’ application for consent to create or re-locate an easement on their property at 29 Judson Street that currently operates as a concrete batching facility.

The adverse effects of this company’s industrial operation on the immediate local residents have been clearly identified by the Province and the City as detrimental to not only the residents but also for the wider community. In that light we object to any measures to accommodate their expansion and continuing operation.

The noise, dust, pollution, and truck traffic created by this facility is incompatible with a residential neighbourhood and the Mimico Residents Association does not support their application.

The MRA remains committed to promoting the quality of residential and economic life in and around the Mimico area.

Yours truly,

John R Cary, President, Mimico Residents Association
